METHODOLOGY
Prospects are scored based on three variables:
- Recruiting ratings (courtesy of 247Sports)
- Scouting Grades from College (courtesy of Pro Football Focus)
- Projected Draft Capital (courtesy of multiple sources, including NFL Mock Draft Database)
The scoring matrix is developed using multiple regression analysis on a database of hundreds of recent NFL players. The analysis evaluates the relationship between these three variables (replacing projected draft capital with actual draft capital) of the players in the database with their NFL fantasy scores. The resulting scoring matrix, when applied to the college prospects, projects their success in the NFL.
